about us

Everybody needs a safe and accepting place along their spiritual journey.  We don’t care what you wear, how many tattoos you might have or who you voted for.  We all live in a broken world.  We all have our issues.  We all find peace, wholeness and meaning in Jesus.

We are here to help one another connect with God, connect with each other and connect with the world in service.  God wants you to connect with Him through a loving relationship, not through a religion of fear or judgment.  We have experience this loving relationship and found in Jesus a connection with one another and a joy and purpose that points us outward in service.

  • Our Mission

As the people of Rustic Hills we are called by God to equip people to join Jesus at home, at work, and in our world.  We don’t go to church, we are the church!

  • What it Means

We understand church to be the people of God wherever they are throughout the week.  Church is not a building or even an organization.  Church is not something we do.  Church is who we are, and it is who we are all week long in all the places God takes us.

We believe that every congregation of God’s people in a community has their own unique roll and calling from God.  We believe our calling is to discover what Jesus is already doing at home, at work, at school, in our neighborhoods and find ways to join Him in what He is doing.

  • What Does it Mean to be Non-Denominational?

Rustic Hills Community Church is a non-denominational church which fellowships with a worldwide group of non-denominational churches known as the Church of God (with headquarters in Anderson, IN). We believe that God desires the Church to be as one people. Jesus prayed for this unity in John 17:20-21.

We will be most effective in our witness to the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ if we concentrate on the things we have in common as believers, rather than things which may separate us.l We believe that denominational labels, rules and distinctives serve only to divide and separate Christians rather than unite them. Over and over the New Testament uses the phrase "church of God" to denote Christians.
